Use this eBook to learn about all of the Modern Enthusiastic Tracking techniques. But, most of all, use this eBook to enjoy watching a puppy learn to follow a track in a variety of environments.
This eBook includes logs of two-thirds of Gretzky’s training sessions and links to more than 55 videos of his tracks. We did almost all the sessions but failed to contemporaneously record the details of some of the sessions. The included sessions incorporate the highlights as well is issues of his training and will give you a full picture of it.
Many of those logs are included as part of this site's blog. The eBook has everything cleaned up, better versions of the videos, and makes navigating the sessions easy and logical. Enjoy whichever form you like.
Because Gretzky is a Westie, a small-breed, who started tracking at a young age, and because Gretzky is particularly distractible even for a small terrier, his logs demonstrate a variety of problem-solving adaptations of the training schedule and techniques described in the book. It is hoped that the reader can learn by these examples and apply appropriate adaptations to their own dog’s training.
